We recommend staying in Shinjuku, close to the Park Hyatt Tokyo where the wedding takes place. Hotels nearby at a range of prices include the Hyatt Regency Tokyo, Hilton Tokyo, Keio Plaza Hotel and Hotel Gracery Shinjuku.

Mid-February is a busy time in Tokyo, so we encourage you to book early.

For the welcome drinks on Saturday, relaxed formal.

For the wedding day, black tie: dinner suits for gentlemen, and formal eveningwear for ladies.

Formal traditional dress from your own culture is equally welcome at both.

In Taiwan and much of Asia, a red envelope is given at weddings as a blessing for the couple's future together; it is the good wishes behind it that matter, not what is inside.
